What does Gordon Mining Group do?

Gordon Mining Group is a Canadian mineral exploration company listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange under the symbol GORD. Our focus is tungsten, a critical mineral the United States imports almost entirely. We are advancing the Tungsten Tail Project in Sierra County, New Mexico and also hold the Gregory River Property in Newfoundland.

Why tungsten?

Tungsten has the highest melting point of any metal, a density close to gold and extreme hardness. That makes it essential for defense, aerospace, semiconductors, energy and the cemented carbide tooling every factory depends on. Roughly 80% of world supply comes from China and the United States has had no domestic mine since 2015, so new North American sources are strategically valuable.

What is the Tungsten Tail Project?

Tungsten Tail is a 41-claim, roughly 847-acre property in Sierra County, New Mexico with a documented history of small-scale scheelite production in 1942 and 1955 and no recorded drilling. Gordon has agreed to acquire 100% of TT Minerals LLC, which holds the claims. Planned work includes mapping and sampling, ground geophysics and drill permitting. Historical information has not been verified and is not a current mineral resource.

How is tungsten used in defense?

Kinetic energy penetrators, armor-piercing ammunition, armor plate, aircraft and missile counterweights and radiation shielding all rely on tungsten because nothing else combines its density and hardness. Western defense programs are expanding and have been pushed by export controls to look for supply outside China.

What does AI have to do with tungsten?

Chipmakers deposit tungsten inside every advanced logic and memory chip to form the microscopic plugs and interconnects that wire the transistors together, and AI accelerators use tungsten-copper heat spreaders to move heat. Every new data center adds chips, and every chip adds tungsten demand.

Where does tungsten fit in energy?

Tungsten carbide drill bits open oil, gas and geothermal wells. Fusion programs use tungsten for the first wall because it withstands plasma better than any other material, and nuclear and grid hardware rely on it for shielding and contacts. The energy transition needs more tungsten, not less.
